Relationships in lockdown
After one week of the lockdown, I had read news that the rate of beating wife is increased dramatically. It is not the case with small family only but with in the joint family also. I know that any relationship requires a particular time to flourish. It is like giving water to a small plant regularly. If you miss to water the plant, it may die.
In this article I would like to focus on the other side of relationship. That is being together always. Many scholars compare relationship with “holding a pigeon”. If you hold it too tight, it will die. Or if you hold it too loose, it will fly. Here in the lockdown situation, we are holding the bird of relationship too tight. The relationship is going to die soon.
I recall a story about a king who is in love with a beautiful dancer in his own court.

One day the king come to know that the beautiful dancer is in love with the singer in his court. The king would have killed the singer. But he may lose the dancer’s love. He planned something vicious. He tied the lovebirds together. At first they enjoy each other's touch and company very much. They were giving the blessing to the king's punishment. But as the time passed; they had to endure each others sweat, urine and toilet also. They were tied up for three days. They started hating each others, when they were free. The king's plan was successful.
Here I would like to point out the important issue, that is privacy. In each relationship there must be enough space for the other partner. Privacy is everything in relationship. Don't get jumble. Privacy and secrecy are two different things. There should not be any secrets in relationships. Let me give you an example to clear my point. Changing your underwear in bathroom is privacy and talking with your second boyfriend in bathroom is secrecy.
I think I have cleared my point. Give proper space to your partner. Give him or her proper time to rejuvenate. Your relationship will automatically flourish.
